Grand Theft Auto ~ Childhood Nostalgia
I know what you’re probably thinking. Why is GTA featured as my childhood nostalgia?!, well… I was a kid when this game first game out.
The first time I ever played this game I had no clue what it was, just some weird game with swearing and running over hookers. Though I loved playing through the city. I never finished this game, nor did I even complete a GTA game until GTA IV.
I never actually liked GTA, I mean I liked it, but mainly what drew me away was the top down view in the originals. It wasn’t until GTA III that I considered myself a fan of the series. I believe I never actually finished a GTA game other than IV is because I’d rather just run around a blow shit up and other various random activities. I feel I will be doing that exact same thing with GTA V.
However, I tend to complete more games nowadays than in the past. The GTA series has the most nostalgia for me than any game mainly because it’s (to me at least) is the father of open world/crime games, and there is nothing like it.
