Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Virtual Reality Missions DLC on PS3 Out Now ~ Exclusive to PS3

Free VR Missions DLC Available Now; Two Additional DLC Packs Available Starting this April

Konami today announced that the DLC Virtual Reality Missions is available now on the Playstation 3 Entertainment System. Free for a limited time, the DLC adds 30 all-new missions to the game, featuring the classic VR look inspired by the original Metal Gear Solid VR Missions. The pack is pure, uncut gameplay that introduces a host of unique new challenges that will push Raiden’s skills to its limits.

Along with the VR Missions, Konami will release two additional Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance downloadable content packs starting this April. The first DLC pack, Jetstream, will be a side story featuring Sam as a playable character. The second pack, Blade Wolf, will allow players to control the enigmatic Blade Wolf and will showcase his side story. Both DLC packs will feature multiple hours of gameplay including unique abilities and characteristics for each character, while also expanding on each of their storylines and origins. 

The VR Missions DLC is available now for free on the PlayStation Playstation 3 Entertainment System.

The Jetstream and Blade Wolf DLC will be available in April for $6.99 for the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system and the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance DLC

VR19 is a side-scrolling beat’em all mission where Raiden fights enemies with his fists.In VR 21, you will be able to control the Dwarf Gekko to stun all the cyborg soldiers in the darkness.

First DLC is called the ‘Soul Snake Wooden Sword’. A special wooden sword infused with the soul of Solid Snake and every time you swing it, you will hear Snake’s voice.

In the second DLC, looks like you will be able to control Sam to against Ray and other cyborgs.In the third DLC, it seems you’ll play as LQ-84i, the Bladewolf

“To be honest, I didn’t think we’d have it go this well. When I first asked Platinum Games for help, it was a pretty forced request, in that I felt if I couldn’t get them to take it then the project would be cancelled.

“I’ve worked on collaborative efforts in the past, but they didn’t go well, and that became a sort of trauma for me. Getting real results from this one was a really good case study, I think. MGR wouldn’t have been born if it were us alone, and I don’t think Platinum could have made it by themselves, either.

“In that way, the word ‘collaboration’ doesn’t seem like enough. My impression is that it really was a new style of development. Now we just have to start selling this project, and that’s our role.”
