My Xbox One Personal Opinion
You guys asked for it so here it is.
This may be a bit out of whack since I tend to type what I’m thinking and drift off in thought. So get ready for my ramblings.
My thoughts on the Xbox One.
First off I was a huge fan of the Xbox 360 since launch, but after losing my job at GameStop in 2011 due to a store closing blah blah blah, anyway after being unemployed for nearly 8 months, I couldn’t afford Xbox Live so I decided to sell all my 360 stuff and move back over to PS3.
I made the move because of better exclusives IMO of course, like Uncharted, God of War, Heavy Rain, Journey & so on. Anywhoo I believe my main reason I moved on was because I couldn’t watch Netflix.
Okay moving on to the Xbox One.. so far I’m not 100% sure about the new console. Why you ask? Well until I know more about the new Xbox Live service I have very low interest in it and amongst other things. Not many seem to like the new look of the console but I like it. Looks good. I also like the fact that they moved up the Guide Button on the controller. A nice touch.
However I feel that Xbox One is what they were trying to accomplish with the 360 with all the new features to me it just seems like another XB360. I didn’t get the ‘wow’ feeling when I first seen the 360.
Everything sounds promising, but one things gets me.. Xbox One games will require a one-time activation code.
You can read up on that via Joystiq if you really want to know more of what I’m talking about.
Games I’m getting burned out of Halo, Gears, Call of Duty, and whatever else they keep spawning. I don’t mind too much about Assassin’s Creed series but lets be honest here, they just need to end it and move on.
Also I feel that there will more even more sequels that will be milked, and I’m sure you know what I mean. CoD, Battlefield, Assassin’s Creed and perhaps even Watch_Dogs. I just want new IPs not the same crap every year.
I’m just really not sure I how feel just yet, I may change my mind when E3 ends.
My final verdict is I’m personally not interested 100% in the Xbox One. I think that PS4 has a much better chance of making a comeback, but I will voice my opinions on the PS4 after E3 once we learn more about it.
Will I get an Xbox One at launch? At this moment in time nah, probably not. As of now I’m not impressed. but then again I’ll most likely get it anyway despite my thoughts, because I’m a gamer and I like games.

Completed Hitman: Absolution. Finished about  11ish hours.  My thoughts…
Absolution is the only game of the series that I found myself drawn to. I tried for years to get into them. The only thing I really didn’t like about the game was it’s disguise system nor did I like stealth too much. Seemed like I was always getting caught. Also the fact that the PC version didn’t have a quick save option was kind of annoying. Overall I enjoyed my experience. So worth the $9 I spent for the professional edition over at Amazon.

What I’m playing this weekend Hitman: Absolution for the PC. I’m not going to lie I’ve never really been really into the Hitman series until this game. I feel that this is what I wanted a long time ago when I first played the original games. Though the originals are good, I couldn’t get into them. Perhaps I’ve missed out on some cooler features the older games offered but Absolution is my personal favorite.

You can pick up the PC copy over on Amazon for $4.99 for the standard edition and $8.99 for the Professional Edition if you haven’t yet.

[UPDATE] What I’ve been playing & Completed

Currently Playing

Uncharted 3, I’ve been playing this on and off since 2011, and just couldn’t get into it. Perhaps I just wasn’t in the mood. I started playing Friday night and so far it’s just fantastic, Not a huge fan of the combat. Maybe It’s because I really enjoyed Tomb Raiders combat.

Completed recently:

God of War Ascension, Though I wasn’t much of a fan of this title I enjoyed it for what it was. Felt more like a handheld game that should have came out on the PlayStation Vita. Also it was weird that Kratos wasn’t all Grrr like in previous games, and he was more human like.

Tomb Raider, This game was awesome, graphics, & gameplay were great. Though I thought the ‘tomb raiding’ was dull and rather easy. Uncharted still feels more ‘tomb raiderish to me.

Uncharted 3, Finished up this game. Loved every moment. Hopefully Naughty Dog makes a fourth at some point or another.

Next up BioShock Infinite

I’m a huge fan of the first game. Not so much of the second. I didn’t like it one bit. I personally thought it sucked compared to the original. Everything about Infinite just looks amazing, and can’t wait to start playing Tuesday!

I played a demo of the Wii U today, And I was very impressed.
There was only one actual demo which was Rayman Legends. (No Assassin’s Creed   demo. Sadface) I wasn’t at all interested in the Wii U until I got my hands on it. I thought the controller would be awkward but I thought it felt comfortable.
Graphically Rayman looked nice, pretty much what we’ve seen from the Xbox 360 and PS3. My overall experience was great, Felt kinda like playing a giant DS.
Wii U is certainly on my radar.

keptyouwaitinghuh answered your question: This is it.

No Metal Gear Rising for you?

Nope I will not be getting Rising. Maybe at a sale price, I am a HUGE fan of Metal Gear, have been since I was a kid. But MGR looks uninteresting to me. From what I’ve seen of it I’m disappointed.

I might end up loving it later on after I try it out, but as of now it’s not on my radar.

This is it.

These are the games I’m buying this year and I’m done for the year.

  • Assassin’s Creed III
  • Halo 4
  • Borderlands 2 (Xbox 360)

I don’t care much for anything else. I will not buy Black Ops 2 this year  (which is a lie because I probably will since I’ve always bought them on day one.) To me Call of Duty is starting to show its age. Watch this. Anyway enough about CoD.

What games are you getting this holiday?

I finally got around to picking up Deus Ex Human Revolution The Missing Link, I’m not very far into it yet maybe about an hour or so. From what I’ve played of it, it’s awesome. Has been a while since I’ve played Deus Ex HR; To be honest I forgot how awesome this game is. Right now if you haven’t picked up this DLC, it’s $3.74 on Steam. I advise you to get this. Pretty cheap. Hurry there is about 17 or so hours left !
